Your First Appointment
At your first prenatal visit we will welcome you to the practice, interview you about your medical history, perform a physical exam and evaluate your overall health using a number of lab screenings to rule out threats to your health and your baby's.
If you are experiencing spotting or bleeding, or if you're unsure about the date of your last menstrual period, we may schedule an ultrasound exam. We have an Ultrasound on the premises for your convenience.
Our goal at Women’s Health Now is to ensure you have a healthy pregnancy. We communicate with you one-on-one to make your pregnancy a healthy and positive experience.
At your follow up appointment you will meet with your doctor, who will discuss the results of the initial lab screenings and discuss the option of cord blood banking as well as answer any questions you may have. Any treatments that may be required according to the results of the lab screenings, or because of high risk factors, will also be discussed and prescribed at this time.
You'll meet with your doctor once a month until the eighth month of your pregnancy, when your appointments will be scheduled every other week. Your appointments will be scheduled weekly in your ninth month.
